I should've bought it when I was 48 years young and had just bought "Riverbend". Valuations were ten times lower then, and I could've bought that 100 x 20 metre piece of unformed road still belonging to the Crown - hatched in grey on the map below - for a mere trifle.
Valuations have gone through the roof, and the seven acres of "Riverbend" are now valued at around $2.7 million which means that the 2000 square metres of "road" alongside the dam may set me back some two hundred thousand dollars. An expensive birthday present but I'm worth it, I think!
