With Christmas done and dusted, the heading "An early Christmas present for an astute buyer" will no longer cut it, even though it did bring in a lot of clickety clicks.
One of which was this inquiry: "Hello, We have seen this property here for sale for years. We have been interested in it for that long also. But not for this price. We are in a position to buy but we want to know the bottom line on this property. What is the lowest the owner would take? I'm not interested in going back and forth im looking for a serious one time sensible price and we may just buy it." I wasn't interested either.
But I changed the ad: "Well, it's too late for Christmas 2024, but there's always Easter, and then there is Christmas 2025. We are in no hurry and neither should you be. You are dealing direct with the owners and are avoiding all the agents' pressures. In the meantime, 'Riverbend' keeps on getting better, with sewerage and town water connected just before Christmas 2024, which means that land values can go only one way: UP!"
And I mean it! I'm in no hurry! Why should I? Another Christmas at "Riverbend" is as good as all the other thirty-one I've been here already.
